Mini-Review: Taryn by Taryn Rose Kathleen

This is the last review for shoe week on AFD until um...next week. LOL. I found these shoes at my local DSW for approximately $130 (CORRECTION: $100) and have been debating about keeping them. I wasn't going to blog about them because they aren't readily available online anymore, but my friend was insisting that I do because she wants to see them.

Please don't mind my veiny feet:

I can only describe these shoes as a "work" shoe. The wedge measures 2.5 inches. They fit on the narrow side but the two qualities of this shoe that made me take them home with me to ponder were, one, they are super comfortable. There is lots of padding in the inside and absolutely no pinching or rubbing. I can't remember the last time (if ever) I put on a pair of pumps and my feet felt like I was wearing sneakers. And two, they didn't slip off my super narrow heels. They are a nicely shaped almond toe with zero toe cleavage. They aren't ugly shoes, but they aren't "wow" shoes either. Nothing to get excited about and I don't really like to keep things that don't excite me even if they are extremely practical. I think I would like them better if they were about a half inch taller, but since they're not, they almost seem to me to be a bit matronly. I'm leaning towards sending these back.

What do you ladies think? Should I keep them? Do you keep an emergency pair of "matronly work shoes"?
